....Carlos Marchi holds a 5 years Bachelor degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie University (São Paulo, Brazil) and Technical University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands). He holds an MBA in Business and Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Brazil (with triple international accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA) and a Master of Science in Urban Strategies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (with distinction).
With more than ten years of professional experience, he has worked as an architect and urban designer in several fields, from public settlements developments – in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) – to projects on the real estate industry over South America and Africa. Beyond that, he is the local partner from the dutch office Posad Spatial Strategies, for all developments prospected in South America.
Carlos also worked with cultural institutions on specific researches like “Uneven Growth: Tactical Urbanisms for Expanding Megacities”, developed by Moma New York and MAK Vienna, working together with MAP Office (Hong Kong) and Network Urban Lab (USA). Since 2014, he has been researching, publishing and teaching for the Institute of Urban Research and Innovation (Ipiu), in Brazil, on topics related to philosophy, urban spaces, design and technology.
