Der Amerikanischer Schriftsteller Arturo Silva lebt in Wien und lehrt Filmtheorie und Filmgeschichte am Institut für Architekturwissenschaften. Zu seinen Publikationen zählen Artikel über eine Vielfalt an Filmen (u.a. Joseph H. Lewis Gun Crazy, Vincente Minnelli's The Band Wagon, Quay Brüder The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes). Nachdem er in den 1980er und 1990er Jahren in Japan lebte, editierte er 2001 „The Donald Richie Reader: 50 Years of Writing in Japan“. 2016 publizierte er seinen Roman „Tokio Whip“.

The American writer Arturo Silva has been teaching film theory and history at the department for many years. Among his publications are a number of articles on diverse films. He lived in Japan between 1980 and 1998. He edited “The Donald Richie Reader“.in 2001. His first novel “Tokio Whip” was published in 2016.
